After a 28 year break, I’m finally back painting Sons of Medusa. Another great game of Pike and Shotte English Civil War. Played a slightly different scenario where his artillery deployed in the middle and both sides had different reinforcements arrive on different turns based on an episode of @7th_son_wargaming . Very close game and we learnt how dangerous a pike and shotte hedgehog formation was against charging cavalry! First game of Pike and Shotte done and dusted. We ran a slightly bigger table and it was 100% worth it. Probably got some rules wrong by amazed how smoothly the game runs compared to what im used to. Very enjoyable and can’t wait to give it a go in smaller scales as well! Another solid day of Bolt Action with Phil and a good excuse to get the Afrika Korps back on the table. We set up a dusty western desert board with enough open fire lanes to make every advance feel risky. The game swung early when one lone pin spooked my fallschirmjager, they failed the order test in spectacular fashion, FUBARed and sprinted straight off the table. That set the tone and Phil kept the pressure on from there. Spent the day down at @w.a.r.s_malta getting into some World War Two gaming with Chain of Command v2 and 0200 Hours. Daniel and Phil had a great game of Bolt Action here in Gozo. Another draw as is the custom here! The forbidden fleshlights arrived from @rustbeltminis We haven’t had a tonne of hobby time during the summer months, but got a game of bolt action western desert in yesterday with Phil. As we get back into painting and gaming we hope to get in some ECW games happening as well! Congrats to Phil for the win!
